Wood industry

Veneer is a thin layer of wood obtained by slicing or peeling the trunk of a tree. It is primarily used for covering furniture, flooring, and panels, allowing the aesthetic use of valuable wood species with minimal material consumption.

In plywood production, knives are used to cut thin layers of wood (veneers), which are then glued together in multiple layers with alternating grain directions to increase the strength and stability of the final product.

Wood chips are small pieces of wood used as raw material for paper production, particleboard, bioenergy, and other wood composites. The production of wood chips is an essential part of the wood industry, enabling the utilization of wood residues and lower-grade timber.

OSB panels are made from long, thin wood strands that are layered with alternating grain directions. Wood knives are used to cut these strands and prepare the raw material for further processing.

MDF panels are made from finely ground wood mixed with resin and formed into boards under high pressure and temperature. Knives are used to grind the wood into fine fibers.

Sawmills are industrial facilities or workshops where wood, primarily logs, is processed and cut into smaller pieces, such as boards, beams, planks, slats, and other wooden products. They are a crucial part of the wood processing industry, where raw wood is transformed into semi-finished or finished products, ready for further use in construction, furniture manufacturing, or other industries.
